Kit Deslauriers is a bad-ass American ski-mountaineer. She was the first person to ski down the Seven Summits. Yup, that includes skiing from 29,035 feet of Mount Everest! She was also the first woman to have won two consecutive World Freeskiing Champion titles, in 2004 and 2005.
She has written an amazing book that is well worth a read called Higher Love: Skiing the seven summits
Personally, I am a huge fan of turmeric in my diet. Especially when I’m training, injured or feeling a bit run down. It has so many anti-inflammatory properties that are great to add to your diet when you are injured.
Kit Deslauriers is part of the HANAH ONE list of athletes that promotes their Ayurvedic superfood supplements. I have previously shared big wave surfer Ian Walsh’s smoothie recipe (this recipe is insane!), where he also adds this amazing product each day. Snowboarder Travis Rice is another athlete that swears by this stuff.
HANAH ONE is an Ayurvedic superfood made from 30 wild-harvested botanicals in a base of Keralan mountain honey, artisanal ghee, and sesame oil for optimal absorption into your body. Some of its active ingredients are turmeric, ashwagandha, shatavari, curcumin, piperine, withaferin A, and emblicanin.
