The gem of the north, the final frontier, the land of the hunky lumber jack fisherman… Ok so that last one isn’t an official tourist board attraction but it’s definitely one of my favs!
Mmmm men in plaid and extra tuffs.
So my love of Alaska is not lost on anyone who knows me or reads my blog. I have been lucky enough to spend a bit of tie up there the last 4 springtimes and am pretty sure I’ll be up there every year from now! I like to land and slay!
These photos have been taken on my travels through Alaska the past 4 winters either at Points North heli in Cordova, at Tailgate Alaska on Thompson Pass or on a more recent adventure where I went on a RV road trip Big Lake (a huge fucking lake – Duh!), to Valdez.
I’ve basically only seen a really small little patch of Alaska. And only in winter. It would be so cool to go in summer. If only I could get a work visa, I could go work as a fisherwoman on the Chugach Pearl with my friends! Mmmm one can dream.
So here they are. 15 photos that I’m sure will make you want to visit Alaska.
The beautiful Valdez Harbour
Endless possibilities off Thompson Pass
The ridiculously rad ice caves at Spencer Glacier
The Blaze King at Points North Heli
Standard view when you drive around
Flying in the heli looking for stuff to snowboard
Night time hangs with good people
Eagles flying around everywhere!
The cutest dogs. This is Bailey aka Butters, and ‘Big Fluffy’
Sunsets at Points North
More lines that you could ski in a lifetime
And then more Eagles
Caves. So rad!
