The gem of the north, the final frontier, the land of the hunky lumber jack fisherman… Ok so that last one isn’t an official tourist board attraction but it’s definitely one of my favs!

Mmmm men in plaid and extra tuffs.

I digress!

So my love of Alaska is not lost on anyone who knows me or reads my blog. I have been lucky enough to spend a bit of tie up there the last 4 springtimes and am pretty sure I’ll be up there every year from now! I like to land and slay!

These photos have been taken on my travels through Alaska the past 4 winters either at Points North heli in Cordova, at Tailgate Alaska on Thompson Pass or on a more recent adventure where I went on a RV road trip Big Lake (a huge fucking lake – Duh!), to Valdez.

I’ve basically only seen a really small little patch of Alaska. And only in winter. It would be so cool to go in summer. If only I could get a work visa, I could go work as a fisherwoman on the Chugach Pearl with my friends! Mmmm one can dream.

So here they are. 15 photos that I’m sure will make you want to visit Alaska.

Do you want to visit Alaska? Is it on your bucket list? Do you have a place you love so much that you keep returning?

Hiya, I'm Alexa. Always on some sort of adventure! I'm excited to share my stories & introduce you to other rad women, also living the dream. I'm here to inspire you to do the same :-)

  1. I’ve always wanted to visit Alaska! Looks like such an incredible place. I just saw snow for the first time in Japan, and now I want to visit more snowy places! :)

  2. I’m from BC and have always wanted to visit Alaska!! Tempted to do a cruise some day but I’m usually a self-guided travel kinda girl, so maybe I’ll plan my own. Regardless, beautiful pics!! I want to visit even more badly now. PS: you had me at hunky lumberjack fishermen hehe.

    • Haha, of course you like the lumberjack fishermen… you’re from BC! You can get a ferry from Belingham Im pretty sure. That would be a great way to see it. Lots of people also sail heir boats from Vancouver to Alaska so you could always thumb a lift!

  3. Not that I needed more convincing, but your photos definitely ignited that spark in me again to visit Alaska ASAP. Beautiful photos – thanks for sharing!

  4. Honestly, I don’t need to be convinced to go to Alaska- it is a dream of mine. But if I DID need to be convinced, you would have done it!

  5. This really does make me want to visit Alaska! It looks like my province of Alberta, such gorgeous nature!

  6. The photo of the road and the eagle and the mountain is everything that I hoped that it would be and more! I am DYING for an experience like this!
